
Recently, the three-month comprehensive renovation project for intelligent production lines covering all categories of thermal insulation materials of Langfang Baibei New Materials Co., Ltd. has been fully completed and officially put into operation. This technical transformation covers production lines for five core products: glass wool, pixel thermal insulation cotton, foil pixel boards, aerogel blankets and rock wool. Through equipment renewal, automatic transformation and upgrade of online quality inspection systems, the company has achieved simultaneous substantial improvements in production efficiency, product precision and yield rate. Located in the thermal insulation building materials industrial cluster of Langfang City, Langfang Baibei New Materials has been focusing on the R&D, mass production and nationwide engineering supply of thermal insulation materials for years. Its products are widely applicable to diversified scenarios including civil buildings, municipal heating systems, industrial workshops, chemical equipment and HVAC noise reduction. Before the renovation, some original production lines suffered weak control over cutting precision and limited coverage of manual sampling inspection. Faced with bulk centralized orders for heating renovation and ultra-low-energy buildings, the production capacity lacked flexibility. In addition, the mass production cost of high-end materials such as aerogel blankets remained relatively high, failing to meet the growing market demand for premium energy-saving building materials. To break through capacity bottlenecks and optimize product consistency, the company invested special funds for technical renovation, introducing CNC automatic cutting units, continuous composite laminating equipment and real-time online thermal conductivity detectors. It reconstructed a fully closed-loop automatic workflow ranging from raw material proportioning, forming processing, veneer compounding, fixed-size cutting and finished product testing to packaging and warehousing, reducing dimensional deviation and quality fluctuation caused by manual operation.
After the transformation, the daily output of glass wool and pixel thermal insulation cotton has increased by 32%. The dimensional tolerance of foil pixel boards and rock wool panels is controlled within ±0.8 mm, and the factory pass rate of finished products stably exceeds 99.7%. With fine-tuned process formulas and optimized drying procedures for the aerogel blanket production line, energy consumption for mass production is cut by 18%. The material’s flexibility and powder shedding resistance are greatly improved, making it more suitable for winding construction on high-temperature pipelines. The workshop also completed refined energy consumption control renovation, steadily lowering unit consumption of water, electricity and gas, which complies with the national "dual-carbon" policy for green production. The enterprise’s quality inspection center has established a full traceability system for retained samples of each batch. Third-party test reports on fire resistance, thermal conductivity and hydrophobicity can be provided for every batch of glass wool, aerogel blankets and pixel thermal insulation cotton, fully meeting the access requirements for materials in bidding of housing and urban-rural development and municipal engineering projects.
The person in charge of the enterprise stated that this round of intelligent transformation not only relieves the pressure of order delivery, but also realizes the layout of shifting product mix toward high-end energy-saving materials. In the next step, relying on upgraded production capacity, the company will optimize its nationwide warehousing and distribution layout. It will deepen development in two core markets: energy-saving renovation of old residential communities and urban heating pipe network renewal in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, while expanding businesses of prefabricated buildings and industrial furnace thermal insulation in southern China.
